# Sapient Species

![](/files/J63RgPHoSu01zjdJZiIK)

Many Sapient Species exist throughout Cooltopia, from Cool Cats to Sloths and even a few species yet to be discovered or revealed. Some species may be evil, but that doesn’t make all of them evil. There may even be some evil Cats out there, but no one calls them Cool Cats.

### COOLTOPIANS

#### Cool Cats

Cool Cats inhabit the vast majority of West Cooltopia. They enjoy everything life has to offer, from farming, building, crafting and adventuring to battling Calamites and preventing them from attaching themselves to innocent creatures. Cool Cats are incredibly resilient and have survived centuries of wars between the Underkin and the Calamites.

* Resilient
* Adventurous
* Enjoy lots of activities

#### Featherclan (Birds)

The Featherclan are a small group of creatures that inhabit Cooltopia along with Cool Cats. They enjoy all sorts of social activities and are able to fly short to medium distances. Long distances are too exhausting for them.

#### Scalekith (Lizards)

Scalekiths are lizards that mainly dwell in the deserts. They generally enjoy living alone or in a single family unit. It can be taxing on a Scalekith to live with many people, unless they have a single individual they can trust or rely upon.

#### Penguins

Penguins are huge fans of technology and love playing on little gadgets that they have found underground. One of Blue Cats best friends is a penguin.

#### Monkeys

Monkeys can be quite mischievous and cheeky. They spend a lot of time relaxing and playing pranks on people in Cooltopia. Although when you truly need a friend, a monkey will be there for you.

#### Seaherds (Sea Otters)

Seaherds are few in number in Cooltopia, but are always eager to help out. They have boundless energy, more than even the Featherclan! They enjoy water and land and are usually seen frequently at the local well or lake.

#### Shy Sloths

Shy Sloths are a stout, brave and incredibly intelligent species that inhabit the Segnities. The Segnities is an island northeast of Cooltopia. They love to plant crops and grow all of their own food.

* Brave
* Enjoy farming

#### Goatmuns

Goatmuns are a peaceful group of humanoid-like goats that live on the Isle of Caprae. They tend not to interfere with the rest of Cooltopia and keep to themselves. They are very peaceful though, and welcome others to their island. They are incredibly strong and have been known to be great at forging armor, tools and weapons.

* Very strong
* Great blacksmiths

#### Ferretfolk

The Ferretfolk are incredibly inventive, always creating new machines and tinkering with devices to get stuff done. They love searching for rare materials and are very friendly with the other denizens of Cooltopia.

* Intelligent
* Love tinkering
* Great at making/fixing machinery

### WANDERERS

#### Shadow Wolves

The Shadow Wolves are druidic, viking-like wolves that primarily live in the Wandering Territory. They journey to Cooltopia to explore fractures and find precious materials and have done so for thousands of years. They work closely with other races on the Wandering Territory to live a life embedded in nature. They are by no means incapable of combat and will just as quickly attack another humanoid creature rather than give up any resources they have found.

* Gray colored wolve**s**
* Uncivilized / aggressive
* Great shipwrights who sail across to Cooltopia

#### Shadow Wolf - Scholars

Shadow Wolf scholars tend to spread out throughout the whole of Cooltopia. Roaming from the Wandering Territory all the way across the seas to far out lands. They bring with them knowledge, bravery and sometimes a little chaos. There are five types of scholars as seen below (Flame, Lotus, Moon, Mushroom and Star), each with varying job:

* **Acolytes** tend to follow other scholars around, helping when needed.
* **Alchemists** enjoy nature, often joining Bards on their adventures to find rare herbs to make potions.
* **Artificiers** like to tinker and create gadgets to assist the world around them.
* **Bards** enjoy being one with nature and singing songs of tales gone by.
* **Cartographers** are constantly on the move, mapping each location they visit.
* **Executioner's** identities are unknown, you definitely wouldn't want to meet one of these scholars!
* **Historians** love to read and unearth ancient legends.
* **Mages** are quick learners and dabble in tricks.
* **Necromancers** tend to follow around Executioners, no one knows why.
* **Poets** work closely with Mages and Historians, visiting libraries and finding books across Cooltopia.
* **Priestesses** live to heal and cure those in need.
* **Seers** can see into the minds of others and the future, they tend to keep to the wilds as cities can feel overwhelming.

### NEUTRAL / EVIL

#### Calamites

* Mischievous
* Manifested emotions
* Summoned from the Fractures.

#### The Underkin

These creatures dwell deep below the ground, often found in caves and appear rarely on the surface of Cooltopia. They can swarm in huge packs or as a single large Underkin wandering alone in the winding caverns that sprawl the whole of Cooltopia. They look like a mixture of goblins and rats and are incredibly muscular. They are aggressive toward anyone but their own kind and it is in their nature to stay underground. They hoard long lost treasure from countless magical wars.
