Important Trade Locations

In Cooltopia, the only places that regularly trade with each other are the cities, towns or villages, but that doesnβt mean these are the only places to trade. For example, a swamp may have a small market stall setup to trade Lily Pads for other swamp-like materials/tools. One-off trading opportunities will be spread all over Cooltopia.
Cities have goods pouring in and out of them constantly. In particular, Diamond City trades a lot with Sapphire Town and Jade Town. Diamond City Diamond City is the capital of Cooltopia, but it is also the largest trade city in the known world. It has a huge port that sees hundreds of ships a day and several shipping routes in and out of the city.
Jasper City Jasper City is the third largest trade city in the world, just after Calcite City. It trades in a huge amount of gems that are mined from the Eastern Cliffs as well as a lot of clearwater fish from the Belonging Basin.
Calcite City Calcite City is a large sprawling city that spreads vertically across the Wandering Territory. It has access to the jungle, the coast and a huge amount of metal and gems in the Knot-trail Mountains. It trades primarily with Sapphire Town and by land to and from Lapis Village, Malachite Village and Jade Town.
Towns have less capabilities to trade goods than the cities of Cooltopia, but they still see a lot of importing and exporting of goods, especially if they have a dock/port nearby. Sapphire Town Sapphire Town has a well-established dock that connects closely with the Diamond City port, making it a great stop off or connection point for other places.
Jade Town Jade Town is a large town located north of the Wandering Territory. It is a primary connection point from Calcite City directly to Diamond City. Its port is more established than Calcite Cityβs, making it more effective at transporting goods via boat.
Obsidian Town Obsidian Town is out on its own at the southern end of Cooltopia. It is surrounded by forests, coasts and insect nests. This location makes it more difficult to get to, but it does have a monopoly on insect parts. The town makes a decent income from exporting those parts.
Villages generally export a singular good and import for whatever they need to survive. They import a lot of food and building materials, but not anything particularly flashy. They do usually have one good that is exclusive to them which they export to the larger towns and cities.
