Employment takes many forms in Cooltopia. Some jobs or types of work are harder than others, but such endeavour is usually rewarded with more Milk, job satisfaction or fun.
Many typical jobs are available in Cooltopia such as shopkeeper, cleaner, delivery person, builder, logger and so on. These jobs are important for the local community as it allows other members of the community to buy goods and services.
Generally speaking, a work-life balance is considered important. This is why the vast majority of Cooltopians tend to live and work very close to each other. There is almost no commuting to and from work as itβs dangerous to leave the confines of a well-protected settlement. Cooltopians tend to work a maximum of four days per week, unless they really enjoy their job so then they work more.
Some Cooltopians will run businesses and this can take up a lot of time. Their work-life balance can be sorely affected by it.
This isnβt really a typical job as it doesnβt guarantee an income, but it does have a huge reward if it pays off. Adventurers help out local townsfolk and go on epic quests looking for treasure. They may get a huge amount of Milk and treasures for finding long lost vaults in underground caves or defeating a huge boss that carries rare magic with them.
This is rare, but can happen when someone, often a child, is gifted. This means they may be particularly strong, intelligent or dextrous, or they have a huge amount of determination. If this is the case, then the whole family, including young and elders, will uproot and move to a larger city such as Diamond City or Calcite City. The potential for large rewards for such individuals make it worth moving the whole family.
Adventurers often settle wherever they feel like they get the most benefit, but they donβt usually have to uproot their whole family.
