Climate and Seasons

Seasons in Cooltopia work very similarly to our own world. There are four seasons representing winter, Spring, summer and autumn (Fall). Bitterveil: Winter Sproutage: Spring Bask: Summer Bayday: Autumn (Fall) Bitterveil Bitterveil has been named for its ice cold temperatures and bitter winds that pick up during this time. Due to the harshness of Bitterveil, the denizens of Cooltopia tend to stay home and meet up with friends and family inside the comfort of their own homes. They also partake in the Bitterveil Festival, which is a huge event to thank the land for everything it has provided and to thank each other for their hard work during the rest of the year. Sproutage During the Sproutage season expect to see all sorts of wildlife spring to life again. After the harsh cold of Bitterveil, the sight of green again is very welcome by Cooltopians. Small baby creatures will venture out from their nests for the first time and Cooltopians will start to return to their activities that have been paused since Bayday. Bask Bask is when the vast majority of Cooltopians get their outdoor work done. Temperatures rise to their highest peaks and there is little sign of rain, except for the odd Bask shower. The final crops will be planted and some will even be harvested during this time. Bayday Bayday is the final season where Cooltopians get their outdoor work for the year complete. Even though there is plenty of rain, it is still warm enough to work outside. The final crops will be harvested before the fierce winds of Bitterveil approach. Although there are the odd crops that only grow during the winter period.
The climates of Cooltopia are varied and generally determined by the type of landscape. For example, jungles are hot and humid. Cooltopia Cooltopia has a varied array of climates, from pouring rain during Bask to hot, humid areas during Bitterveil. It all depends on the location. The further north and west you go, the colder it gets. Jungles are hot and humid. Deserts are windy and hot. Plains are heavily dependent on the current season. The rest of Cooltopiaโs climates mimic real life landscapes. Isle of Caprae The Isle of Caprae is incredibly cold and almost in a permanent state of Bitterveil. The Goatmun live there and find it relatively easy to survive and work during these harsh temperatures (mainly due to the fact that they are constantly working close to forges or ovens). The Segnities Segnities is a lot hotter and humid than the rest of Cooltopia. It is an island inhabited by the Shy Sloths. It has incredibly fertile land and can produce all sorts of fruits and vegetables. It is not affected massively by seasons. Furittus Furittus is an island full of useful gems and metals. It is a very hard rocky island but it does have several beaches. If you choose to live there, you will likely live in a cave or on a windy plateau. It is not affected as much by seasons. Fortuna Fortuna is an island close to Sapphire Town that frequently has high rain and winds, along with snow and sleet during Bitterveil. The Wandering Territory The Wandering Territory has similar climates to Cooltopia, except that it is a lot hotter and humid. During Bitterveil, you rarely see any snow or ice, although it does have raging thunderstorms and hailstorms.
