Milk is the primary currency in Cooltopia, but itโs not the only currency. There are plenty of ways that Cooltopians can trade, whether through time, labor, goods or Milk. These are all used as a form of currency.
In villages and some smaller towns, residents all look after each other. The prices are low and the goods are relatively common. Some food and materials are available at good prices in these settlements. Villages also need help with a lot of things, such as fixing roofs or fighting off wild beasts. Work can be rewarded with goods and/or Milk.
Jobs in Cooltopia pay a decent wage, but some jobs are paid in food and shelter. The type of payment depends on the circumstances of the individual working there.
Being a Hero in Cooltopia is dangerous, time consuming and exhausting. It requires a very specific skill set but the rewards are great. A Hero can receive a decent amount of Milk for completing quests, finding treasure guarded by huge bosses or even spending time in the town to make it feel protected and safe.
All Milk is kept inside a bank with several Local Guards stationed inside and outside. This is to protect everyone's time and hard work from thieves. The Royal Vault is a huge vault located in Diamond City and used to store the vast quantities of Milk and gems that are owned by Cooltopians.
Wealthy Cooltopians tend to invest in properties or businesses. Those looking to get rich will look at new businesses that are forming and try to get in early, but that doesnโt always pay off for them. Property is very important for the growth of villages, towns and cities.
Defending villages, towns and cities costs a lot of money and is generally funded by the King, Queen and Council of Diamond City. This does cause Milk to decrease in value as itโs being used up hastily to fund the creation of armor, weapons and tools. It is critical, however, that Milk is used for these purposes to help protect Cooltopia instead of languishing in the Royal Vault.
